Facelift Claims
What is a facelift?
A facelift – also known by its medical name Rhytidectomy – is the third most common form of cosmetic surgery in the UK. It is usually used to give the face a more youthful experience, for example, pulling back or ‘lifting’ the skin around the face to make it appear tighter and smoother. In 2015, 7419 patients underwent this form of surgery, and 95% of them were female.
Facelifts are a difficult and very technical form of surgery. They are almost always performed under General Anaesthetic and can take up to several hours to finish.
With almost 7500 patients undergoing this kind of surgery – possibly every year – it is inevitable that clinical errors will take place during the surgery, and that many patients may find themselves unhappy with the end result.
If you feel that your surgery was not carried out satisfactorily, that it was performed carelessly or that the results fall below what you expected or what you were promised, you could be entitled to make a facelift claim for compensation.
